Well, as reported last time, we knew ticket sales were going well for the Cotswold Events booking for the “Just Take That” tribute band and our own booking of “Tom Spats Langham’s Hot Fingers”, but better than that, it turned out they were both a sell-out! It was so good to see Shipston enjoying fun nights out again and we captured some great snaps and videos – take a look at our web-site gallery and FaceBook page for more.
We’ll report back next time, but In March, we’re confident everyone also had a great time seeing “Richard Leach’s Street Band” and one of the regularly organised Lions cinema nights who screened “Emma”.
April brings yet more entertainment with our booking of “Bateman Brothers Jazz Band” on Friday 29th April. Tickets will be available from https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/townsend-hall or from A. Clarke Electrical Services in town. Take a look at http://www.ianbateman.com/bateman-brothers-jazz-band to whet your appetite.
Get other dates in your diary too! May brings Cotswold Events back for a 60’s experience and we’ve got yet more great jazz with “Sally Minchin’s String Quintet”. If you haven’t given jazz a go before, we urge you to try us out. For around a tenner a ticket it’s a great night out and you get to see some top musicians – in the unlikely event it turns out not to be your thing, we also have a fully licensed bar!
Signing off with the usual reminder – we’re a venue funded as a charity, so please keep supporting us by attending our events and at the many clubs / sports we have available.
